My name is Sam Dryden, I'm a trainee teacher, hoping to go on to teach humanities/history/English, and hopefully maths if possible. I am studying my History PGCE (Secondary in English) in Aberystwyth, but will be moving back to Northumberland, where I grew up, to find jobs and teaching opportunities. People have described me as a very talkative and extroverted person. I personally don't find it difficult to break into a 'cliquey' environment, making many friendships at my first placement during training, in what was largely a 'cliquey' environment. I like to think of myself as outgoing, enjoying running, and football, both of which I try to do on weekly basis with parkrun and a DIGS university team. I also enjoy playing a range of instruments (guitar, piano, ukulele, bouzouki), and reading (LOTR, Harry Potter, His Dark Materials, Song of Ice and Fire). I would like to branch this into my career, extending these interests to extra curricular activities within a school.
