Through feedback from peers and other sixth forms I have designed a blue print for what is necessary to be a successful Sixth Form teacher, with a focus on curriculum, planning and assessment.
Can be used a basis of KS5 CPD or a strategy to improve teaching and Learning.
This powerpoint can be used as a resource to introduce the exam themes or printed off as a class resource for students looking for inspiration along the exam journey. Powerpoint covers themes over the three specialisms. Each theme is split into introduction slide (with meaning and associated words) Visual inspiration slide and then slides containing artists who work within that theme beyond those offered on the Exam paper. This resource was designed for Key Stage 4 SOw based on natural forms but the process can be changed to any object. Worksheet runs through how to create four compositions which can be used for planning a painting.
Worksheet designed for Key Stage 3 lessons to teach students basic adjustments within Photoshop. Worksheet runs through basic tools that students can use to enhance their photographs.
Perfect lesson for the last week of term or for a cover lesson for Key Stage Three Art class. Students design a christmas card based on cubist use of geometric shapes and planes. Worksheets includes a step by step scaffold for lower ability student.
This resource has been created for A Level Photography students but could equally be used with GCSE. The aim is to build understanding of Photographic genres and movements away from the classroom which may influence their coursework and related study. It is also really useful for Blended learning or if students are isolated as they can work through the booklet at home.

Each section contains: overview of genre and key artists, a key word search, some video links, some spaces to research key art work and photographers and a short practical project to show understanding of genre.
For independent Work this aims to cover 8 weeks of Individual study time if used in conjunction with lessons or could be used Blended learning to cover 1 month of home learning.
This project is set up to introduce students to the history of still life through research and a work sheet.
The project then sets students up to study photographer who take a contemporary twist on still life photography.

Proposal form for A Level Art students who have writtren essay/ related study depending on exam board.
Proposal form ensures students are planning out the contextual research needed and considering structure of essay.
Students must submit a proposal form which have to be passed by teachers, in the same way as a dissertation to ensure students set off on a well considered journey.
