Mitten Math Visual Aids and Game for Counting and Combining Money Values
Even though this resource has to do with calculating U.S. coin amounts (pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters)and the value of different coin combinations, you won’t see any money. Instead, visual aids
represent the value of each of these coins. A mitten, with one digit (thumb/finger) represents a penny or 1 cent;
a glove, with 5 digits (thumb & fingers) represent a nickel or 5 cents; 2 gloves, with a total of 10 digits, represent a dime or 10 cents; and 5 gloves, with 25 digits, represent a quarter. A winter cap represents 0.These visual representations and depicted on colorful playing cards.Diections for the game and scenarios included.
Mitten math gives students the opportunity to learn how to count by 1’s, 5’s,10’s and 25’s plus how to apply this knowledge to counting pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters.
Perfect for students beginning to learn about money in the primary grades.
Double Digit Multiplication- traditional and Partial Products
It’s to a student’s advantage to know how to multiply using the traditional algorithm and the partial products method. The traditional way is great for expediency, the partial products way is great for understanding. This product will give students plenty of opportunities to learn both ways with clear demonstrations (which also could be used for anchor charts), scaffolded activities such as reminder “carrying boxes” and partly done examples with fill-in blanks, and lots of examples for student practice. This is “Set 1”. Set 1 has multiplication with numbers having only these digits: 0,1,2,3,4. The reason for this is (assuming that a purchaser would buy this first before other sets) that teachers will probably use the resource as an introduction to double digit multiplication/ 2 methods and would want the focus to be on the procedures rather than the math facts themselves. Having the easiest numbers to multiply allows the students’ attention to be harnessed in this way.

Measure & Make Lightup Valentine Tabletop Decor
Here is a hand-made Valentine gift that can be created for the entire family. This gift is a functional table-top decoration that lights up. Set the stage for warmth and pleasant family dinner conversation with this centerpiece decoration giving off a soft candle-like glow. (the “older” school kids-grades 3-6- prefer this type of valentine activity because it isn’t too “mushy-gushy” and it doesn’t target a “sweetheart”)
The “lighted tubes” of the heart are actually re-purposed plastic or paper drinking straws. Here’s a use for those plastic straws that you don’t want to end up in the ocean!
The complete instructions are provided in this resource. This project is part construction, math(a lot of measurement), language arts, science, and a whole lot of fun.
Use as independent activity in centers, small groups, whole class.
Teachers: this works well in a STEAM center! Parents, After School Programs, Scouts, Youth Groups, etc.: great project for your organizations!

Multiplication Array Cards for Concept, Understanding, and Memorizing Set I
These colorful flashcards illustrate the array format of each multiplication fact from the 2x table (with factors 2-9) to the 5x table (with factors 2-9). Also, by turning each card once to the right, the student can view both array formats for the main multiplication fact and its “turnaround”. There are spaces and blanks to complete on flaps that coordinate with each fact. Using the array as a scaffold, the student can easily fill in “__rows x ___ in each row = ____” written on the flap as well as filling in another space on the flap to write the actual multiplication fact. Another way to do this would be to have the student say what completes each blank/space rather than writing the information in them. The student who becomes more confident with these facts can be quizzed on the facts with the flashcard flaps turned down, the answers hidden.
Multiplication Array Cards for Concept, Understanding,& Memorizing Set II
These colorful flashcards illustrate in array format each multiplication fact from the 6x table (with factors 2-9) to the 9x table (with factors 2-9). Also, by turning each card once to the right, the student can view both array formats for the main multiplication fact and its “turnaround”. There are spaces and blanks to fill out on the flaps that coordinate with each fact. Using the array as a scaffold, the student can easily fill in " ___ rows x __ in each row = " written on the flap as well as filling in another space on the flap to write the actual multiplication fact. The student who becomes confident with these facts can be quizzed on the facts with the flashcard flaps turned down, the answers hidden.
Classroom Set Up With Letter Tiles & Game Board Backgrounds
Make your classroom decor fun and “brainy” this year! With so many of us at home in the past few months, family and friends have re-discovered board games. Their usage has reminded us how much fun these games can be and that learning actually occurs while playing. (don’t tell the kids) I have extended this wave of retro gaming into a classroom theme borrowed from an old classic.
This resource comes with Scrabble-look game board backgrounds (choices of pastels, primary colors or brights) for your bulletin boards and signs. Letter tiles come in various sizes (largest is 7"x 7") and colors (wood look too). Many of these are editable so you can get exactly the color or size you want.
Just about everything you need to get your classroom ready for the new school year is in this resource. A scrabble-look bulletin board is the focal point. The student names are spelled out with letter tiles and are connected like a crossword. You will find supplies labels (large and small), class schedule sign, center signs, job signs, classroom alphabet, calendar, door decor, student desk nameplates, welcome banner, 7 first days activities, and more …all done in this “scrabble-like” motif. Power Point.

Fathers Day Gift & Card-Dad's Custom Dots & Boxes Games
These child made, dad-focused games are ideal gifts for Fathers Day. Two principles are being addressed here: the celebratory nature of Fathers Day and the gift of valuable time. The games are not just for Dad: they are a way to spend precious moments of fun time with Dad and his family.
The 6 gameboards you get will not be your typical dots and squares games (or some like to say dots and boxes) The different gameboards have various themes and are a little more challenging that the original dots and squares game.
These themes are:
Fishing Dad
Golf Dad
Sports Dad
Games Dad
Adventure Dad
Need for Speed Dad
If none of these themes reflect Dad’s interests, a plain dots and squares board is provided so that the child can fill in special memories of dad or other things that Dad likes to do. How customized is THAT?
To play the games, simply insert the game board into a clear sheet protector, write with dry erase markers, then when the game is over ( I hope you “let” Dad win on Fathers Day) clean off the plastic protector with a tissue and the game is ready to play again and again!
Instructions for all games are included. A Father’s Day poem is as well…product doubles as a card and gift.
