Double Lesson for ALevel OCR TUdor Rebellions focused on the Oxfordshire and Essex Rebellions- more on the Essex Rebellion since Oxfordshire is not very significant and doesn’t have lots of material. This quiz took about 10 hours of my life (that I will never get back!) to make but the students loved it- just the right balance of inappropriate to be funny but still all related to the Tudor Court, rebellions and key individuals. It is mainly a music quiz with some of the rebels, Tudor characters and noblemen being represented in song lyrics…in other cases the rebellions are represented by the song. There is a round on Tudor swear words and other random trivia. Answer sheet attached- slides plus answer sheet should be self explanatory but if you need anything explaining further email me- lasts about an hour and a half including marking and going through answers- I don’t play the whole songs- just the relevant extracts.

Lesson for ALevel History This is for the OCR Thematic Tudor Rebellions scheme of work but can be used for Tudors looking at social unrest due to socio-economic problems in the Mid-Tudor Crisis. Full lesson which covers all aspects of the rebellion with a variety of activities including card sort, venn diagram, tables, continuum and lots of reading. Examines Causes, Aims, Nature, Events, Reasons for Increased Threat and Decreased Threat, Government resopnse and Impact of the Kett rebellion.
