This double lesson introduces learners to decision trees, we break down the tree right from the very beginning, and look at how to construct one step by step, to ultimately work out the expected values of outcomes and the final net gains. Students have the opportunity to practice calculations for themselves, and then self assess with the answers on the board. We then go on to look at the advantages and disadvantages of using decision trees, followed by a 10 mark question on the usefulness of decision trees.
