An investigation I adapted from a GCSE exam question, suitable for primary, middle or GCSE Biology. It can be done as an easy experiment focusing on taking accurate observations/readings using a thermometer and exploring animal adaptations through their ears. It includes an introductory video exercise, experiment variables, data collection and analysis with plenary about animal ears. There are two lessons which are differentiated for use with/without equipment.

2 separate lessons on a case study about the interdependence of food webs that will really deepen students learning about this topic. Lesson 1 includes an introductory video and then an analysis of the different impacts of the introduction of wolves into the Yellowstone ecosystem. Students have to give examples and opinions of the impact from the point of view of different species affected. Lesson offers a review and quiz as well as an interactive activity on building food chains and webs that cements the learning established in lesson 1. A really interesting and interactive case study looking at real life examples to deepen the understanding of interdependence, suitable for top end primary or middle school but could be adapted for higher level learning.
