KS1 Leader & Year 2 Homeroom Teacher. At the end of this academic year, I will have 6 years experience which is a combination of teaching in international schools and full-time teaching in the UK. I completed my teacher training course (PGCE) in June 2017. I am now working full-time as a Year 2 Homeroom Teacher and Key Stage 1 Leader in Thailand. I have enjoyed having the opportunity to teach my own class and lead Key Stage 1 teachers (currently) and Key Stage 2 teachers (previously) to implement the curriculum creatively as well as assess the learners. I have been able to glean ideas and observe good practice daily and have had the opportunity to incorporate these into my teachings. It’s important to me, that I continue my own professional development, so I actively try to improve my own subject and curriculum knowledge by completing independent study alongside practising teaching. I welcome opportunities for extra courses to develop my skills and knowledge further.
