Inspired by http://goo.gl/EUD8Mu I have created 20 Higher Tier h/w sheets for students aiming to get a C/B grade. The sheets alternate between non-calc and calc h/ws and will be used in Term 1 this year. I will then use some B/A grade h/w sheets (watch this space) in Term 2/3. These sheets are aimed at giving students revision of the topics needed to achieve C/B grades in their GCSEs.
KS4 Vocabulary Here is a revision aid I put together for my Year 11 tutees last year. It was aimed at helping them understand the language of their Mathematics exam; what are they actually asking you to do?!
KS3 / GCSE. Metric/ Imperial. Here's a poster I was asked to create for our Maths classrooms. All metric and imperial conversions the students need to know are on here with details as to how to convert between the measures.

Resume the slideshow by hitting &';P' (for play!)

This is the Vedic Square. A 9 by 9 grid that reveals patterns from the sums of the mutiplications of the numbers. Students work through the w/sheet that I have created based on the website's activity and produce all the different Vedic patterns for each digit from 1-9. I can&'t wait to use this...
UPDATED to include completed grids

This, is the Pirate Game! It is amazing! I 'play&' this with my classes at the end of each term. Feel free to message me for further details of the game if needed. I have tried to provide as much info in the guide on how the game works. I have adapted this from the one my mentor on my GTP used.

'Sky Sports News&' style pwoerpoint slide. Here is a powerpoint I have created to communicate to my classes their learning objectives, key words, homework, lesson aim etc all on one slide.
I put this up at the start of some of my lessons as the class are coming in. The lesson aim scrolls across the bottom of the screen when the presentation is up. I use a &';slide master' for this ppt and so if you want to change the layout etc it will need to be done on the slide master!
A complete Unit of Work on Trigonometry (Sin, Cos and Tan). Covers finding missing lengths and angles of right-angled triangles. No Sine Rule or Cosine Rule included.
Activities include:
Measuring lengths of similar triangles to discuss/discover the ratios, identifying lengths of triangles (hypotenuse, opposite, adjacent), exact trigonometric identities (NEW to the 1-9 GCSE), rounding to 3 significant figures, choosing whether to use sin, cos or tan, choosing whether it's a trig question or Pythagoras and more.
Lots of practice questions, all answers included and plenary type questions for each lesson/series of lessons.
I have been using this with my Year 10 higher set 2 and has taken 6 lessons to complete - not rushing through it and taking the time to explain/cover misconceptions. Would be suitable for NEW 1-9 GCSE Foundation students too.
See my blog post for more details.
Mr. Collins' Maths Table Sheets - Collins City 4. Here is the fourth of the 'Collins City&' revision table sheets I use with my Year 11s as GCSE revision. Look out for the other &';Collins City' sheets and the &'Raymond Rovers&'; sheets.
Questions 1-5 are aimed at Foundation Tier
Questions 6-10 are aimed at Higher Tier
I used this question as a starter to consolidate learning of simultaneous equations with a top set year 10 class. Would work well as a plenary too?
The question gets the students to form the simulatenous equations 1st based on a worded question using the characters from Finding Nemo!
This is the first of 17 Mathematics sheets in the 'Raymond&'s Rovers&'; series of my Mathematics Sheets. I use this sheets with Year 11s for revision purposes.
