When I am teaching and revising grammar, the big thing I hate it needing to only check all my answers at the end. I like to be able to give a question. Get the students to show their answers on mini white boards and immediately check their answers and discuss why the answer is correct.
I have taken the 2015 SPAG short answer test papers and marking schemes and combined them into a single PowerPoint. There are two different levels of questions, those for Levels 3 - 5 and the more advanced level 6. It is worth going through all of them to both check the advanced groups basic understanding and the other group to inspire them to greater things!
Please leave me a comment on how you found them.
When I am revising the SPAG (KS2 English grammar, punctuation and spelling tests), I want to have all the questions and all the answers in one place. This means I can ask the class a question and then after they have shown me their responses on their mini-whiteboards, I can immediately show them the answers and the acceptable alternatives. As I could not find this anywhere, I thought it would be easier to simply make it myself. So here it is! This particular set of resources comes from the 2014 test. I have also done this for the 2015 test and the 2016 tests.
This resource could be used in school or it could be used at home. It could be used with a whole class or in pairs, one asks the question, the other answers the question and then they swap roles.
It contains both Levels 3 to 5 and a second presentation for level 6. All children should try all the tests to either consolidate their learning or to extend their learning.
I love to teach KS2 English grammar, punctuation and spelling. I make it into a game. The students see the question and then answer them on a mini whiteboard. I sometimes put them into pairs or teams to discuss their ideas. Then I show them the answers. We discuss the different answers together.
I hated having to have the answers and questions separately and so I have combined the different question and answer papers into a single presentation. This presentation also tells them what would have been acceptable or unacceptable answers.
The tests are differentiated so there are Level 3-5 tests and Level 6 tests. The students should try to do them all, to both consolidate and extend their learning. These KS2 SPAG Revision test materials will make learning more fun and the students more motivated to achieve.
You will notice in the sample 2016 tests, there is now a single test for all students, which explains why there is no separate tests for levels 3-5 and level 6.
I love to revise grammar. I don't like needing to constantly refer between the answers and the questions to get the most out of each lesson. I decided the simplest thing was to simply combine the question paper and the marking schemes into a single document. The idea is simple - you ask a question - the children then show their answers and then you check the answers as a class against the official marking scheme answers.
This helps to keep revision fun and the lessons snappy.
Let me know what you think of them!
I want to make KS2 SATs revision fun. I want it to be something students and teachers really enjoy. I have taken each of the SATs revision tests and combined the original test papers and the original marking schemes into PowerPoints where you ask a question and immediately see the the answer on the next slide. This teaching packs covers KS2 Maths and KS2 SATs SPAG tests (Spag is English grammar, punctuation and spelling Papers)
The idea is that you can now ask a question and all your students show you the answer on their mini-whiteboards and then you discuss the answers together and see what would have got one or two points. As the students can work in pairs or small groups on the questions, they are less stressed and enjoy the whole revision process. In addition, it gives them a chance to learn about other student’s strategies.
This pack could be used in the classroom for whole class teaching, for small groups or at home as a great teaching resource.
When I am revising maths, I like to ask a question and then the students answer it on their mini whiteboards. We then check the answer on the following slide. I have combined the test papers with the marking scheme, making teaching and learning a lot more fun.
There is differentiated revision material. There are tests for levels 3 - 5, and tests for level 6, and some which are for all the students. All the students should try all the tests, to both consolidate and extend their learning to make sure they have the maximum chance of reaching their true potential.
I have presented them in the different PowerPoint formats for the older and more modern computers.
Did you know pairing a high achieving and less high achieving child together actually helps both? As the more advanced student explains how to solve a problem, they too improve their knowledge of mathematical vocabulary.
I like the students to see the questions and answers next to each other. It makes learning a lot more effective. You ask a question and then check the answers as a class. I have combined the 2015 test papers and the marking schemes into single documents. This means after every question, comes the official answer and explanation. This makes a lot more sense. It keeps the lessons fast paced and snappy.
The students should look at both sets of papers to get the most out of the test.

This is a a huge online reading bundle of resources. There is plenty to do in this amazing set of resources.
I have further edited Levels 1 to levels 4 so there are now reading questions relating to every slide. I have mixed up all the original Thinking Hat colours and done away with black and white as I had teachers who felt these were not appropriate in a primary classroom and relaunched it all as Thinking Scarves - I hope you like the changes and leave me a nice comment below!
I believe I have created the ultimate guided reading and poetry teaching resource for teachers. Along with a complete KS1 and KS2 Thinking Hats Reading teaching resource, this pack also includes 189 general reading worksheets and 36 levelled guided reading books. I also took the time to convert all the books into .ppt (old version of PowerPoint) so that as well as printing out the books, you can now show all the books directly on the interactive whiteboard, to build up whole class reading skills.
The books vary from level 1 (beginner readers) to level 5 (teenager and adult readers). The worksheets can be used for pretty much any book, so even when you have finished reading these great books, the reading worksheets will still be useful for many years to come!
The 189 reading worksheets are differentiated and some a replicated between different year groups. I am confident you will be pleased with this purchase. It would also be great for any World Book Day ideas or teaching resources. It could also be used for national poetry day or book week.

If you like the resources, then please leave me a nice comment as this means a lot to me!
Teaching grammar should be fun, fast paced and enjoyable. I have taken the 2014 SATS past papers and I have combined the test paper and the official marking schemes into single PowerPoint presentations. This means you can now ask a question, get the students to show you the answer, and then show the original answer and check their understanding. I know my class really enjoys this teaching method.

Looking for an Autumn Theme picture frame? I have selected my best 15 Autumn theme picture frames. They are perfect for children's art work or to simply make your own work look a little more seasonally related.
A key to a child's happiness is to appreciate what they already have in their lives? This is a simple 1 week course which can be used time and again. The children draw and write about what they are thankful for. By thinking of their happiest times, their brains relive those happy moments. Try it! It is a lot of fun!
My students love to be creative. My students love an open ended task. These simple worksheets let my student's imaginations run riot. After everyone has complete the task, the students can do a simple show and tell and explain what they think the answer is. The great thing being that any answer is the right answer!
At the end of the day, my students like to unwind with a little bit of fun drawing. I have created a range of different fun drawing challenges for my students. You look at the picture, read the simple challenge and add the missing part to each picture. The students can then compare and contrast their different ideas. It is a great way of getting students to talk and describe their work.
I have created a simple set of worksheets to help students to focus on what is good in their lives. They can complete this work at the beginning or the end of the day. They could even have it set as homework one week. The idea being that if students know they will need to write about being happy, they will actively seek out happiness to write about. When students write about being happy, they relive that happy moment, and of course become happier!
