Exercise in which students must re-arrange scenes from the film into the correct order.

An extended text describing and analysing key decision points for the main characters in Das Leben der Anderen, followed by a summary exercise which should help students gain an overview of cause and effect and provide a useful tool for revision. To create this text I have edited down a more complex analysis of Wiesler and Sieland found on wedding-music-and-more.de and interwoven additional material on Dreyman written by Isabella Langheim. I made up the summary task.

Two short but challenging articles about pocket money trends in Germany, followed by questions in English

(i) Extended text about the surface to air missiles deployed in East London for the Olympics, followed by comprehension questions in German, and (ii) a selection of opinions about the security measures, based on internet blogs, followed by a comprehension task, a speaking task, and two writing tasks, one pitched at AS level and one pitched at A2 level. (Typos spotted and now fixed.)

Two short texts about fashion and designer clothes, followed by a 'Which person said what?' activity.

Text based on internet threads about the idea of introducing school uniform in Germany. Text is followed by comprehension questions in English, a "find the phrases" exercise and a text manipulation exercise. Hopefully, this will provide students with some useful language for commenting on school uniform in their own school.

24 questions on the topics of tourism and the environment. The first slide acts as a homepage. Students choose a letter and then are hyperlinked to a question. Creates an element of unpredictability to the questioning and might be useful for students preparing for their speaking exam.

This table is set out to help pupils begin to understand patterns of conjugation. Could be printed as a hand-out or blown-up as a poster for display.

Authentic screenshots and mini-texts on the topic of MEDIA and TECHNOLOGY, with questions in English. Created for a lower ability group but works well as a starter for more able classes.

Interactive, multiple choice exercise practising a range of regular and irregular past participles. There are 65 verbs embedded in the file and the file will create a new quiz of 20 verbs selected at random each time the exercise is opened.

Revision of the future tense, followed by predictions about the European Championships for pupils to agree or disagree with, using the future tense. (This is an updated version, in which I've substituted players who I thought would be playing for ones who actually are!)

This is an edited version of Kiffen und Komasaufen, which I uploaded previously. This version has been altered to suit the needs of my AS class. The text is followed by a richtig/falsch/nicht im Text exercise, questions in German, a 'find the phrase' activity, a translation into German of English language data regarding the situation in the UK, and a writing activity in which students must then compare and contrast the data from both countries.
