A fully interactive and independent scheme of work on the Planets, Solar System, Plate Tectonics, Forces and Geology designed for Key Stage 2 and 3 students.
Students will have access to an interactive Microsoft PowerPoint file where they will discover in their own time, the answers to leading questions in a printed booklet. Each slide is interactive and clickable but students can really focus on elements they want to in their own time.
There are videos, images, icons, pictures, sound bites, audio recordings, graphs, diagrams and music in the resource for students to learn in as many different ways as possible.
Students will learn about the Solar System and the relative distances between Planetary objects. They will learn about Earth’s geology and tectonic plate movement. They will also learn about gravity and air resistance as well the moon landings, the space race and what happened to the dinosaurs!
The way it is designed to work is that each student either individually or in pairs has access to a computer with the Slide Show uploaded to it and their printed work booklets in front of them. They then spend their time working through the questions in the booklets by finding the answers in the PowerPoint. You will need access to Microsoft PowerPoint to be able to run this resource.
You will receive 4 files:
1: The booklet as a Publisher file
2: The booklet as a PDF file
3: The original master copy of the Interactive PowerPoint for your usage
4: A Slide Show Only version of the PowerPoint for students to access*
*This is so that students cannot accidently delete anything as the Slide Show mode opens straight to slide show and shuts down after it has been used.
This resource will only work on Microsoft PowerPoint.
