Game Music SOW
Game Music SOW. Designed for Year 9-11 for a 3 year KS4 music curriculum. The scheme takes a look at Motifs and ground themes within game music and 8 Bit music. The accompanying work book can be printed and used alongside the lessons or used digitally if you are a laptop school. The scheme has plenty of opportunity for deep thinking and scenario based questions to prep pupils for BTEC or GCSE style questions.
The Scheme offers plenty of practical opportunites and is best when used alongside Logic or similar music software. However, the practical could be done with simple composition on keyboards utilising the inbuilt sounds.
Enjoy!

Ukulele Scheme of Work KS3
This SOW is designed for the learners to create a Chord Log of some common and varying chords on the Ukulele. For a Half Term Project. The PowerPoint is linked and colour co-ordinated in reference to the National Curriculum focusing on the three strands from music Listening and Appraising, Composition and Performing. I have labeled them as Making Music, Thinking Musically and Understanding Music.
Each lesson calls for retrieval practice, general music theory recaps and an opportunity to perform and play.
There is assessment opportunity in each lesson (not highlighted in the PP) but feel free to utilise your own class appraisal/feedback options.
The overall summative assessment is for the children to choose a song, learn it and perform it. This may be done as individuals but also as small groups to save time and to ensure everyone is heard and confident.
Enjoy!!!
