Ethanol

(2)
Lesson on the two methods used to produce ethanol.\nI got the students to make their own ethanol and I distilled it in a later lesson.\nHas a nice debate at the end too, as to which method they think would be the best for BP to use if they started using biofuels! Enjoy :)
Horse Meat Discussion Lesson

Horse Meat Discussion Lesson

Horse meat is the hot topic at the moment, so I used this for half of one of my lessons to discuss how Science is linked with this scandal!\nStudents got a character card and had to take on that role and their opinion as to whether all meat should be tested or not.\nWorked BRILLIANTLY, had some excellent high level discussion! I used it with year 8 but I think it's suitable for all age groups with adaptions!
