Lesson on what the Ozone layer is, why it's important and what's happening to it. Includes a card sort and worksheets, both of which are found on the slides at the bottom of the ppt. Uploaded as I was realising it's difficult to find a simple lesson on this. I have made this for delivery to a year 9 class so have included some of what happens on a molecular level but not in much depth. Hope it's useful :)

OCR Gateway B1e, Lesson on smoking focussed on indepedent learning.\nSmall info sheets for pupils to teach a partner about alveoli and cilia then question and answer cards for groups to test eachother with.

Horse meat is the hot topic at the moment, so I used this for half of one of my lessons to discuss how Science is linked with this scandal!\nStudents got a character card and had to take on that role and their opinion as to whether all meat should be tested or not.\nWorked BRILLIANTLY, had some excellent high level discussion! I used it with year 8 but I think it's suitable for all age groups with adaptions!
