I’m an experienced teacher with a long career in education as a teacher, teaching principal, literacy support teacher, education officer and curriculum writer. My special interest is in teaching English. However, as a primary and middle years teacher, I have taught subjects across the curriculum in urban, rural and remote schools, in single year level and multi-age classes. To best meet the learning needs of my students, I’ve created many resources. Some resources were developed as a result of considerable thought and planning. Other resources began as ‘on the spot’ materials, their early, working-drafts created in the classroom in response to a specific requirement of a student or group of students. I am now refining my resources to make them available to and suitable for teachers seeking easy-to-use, straightforward materials which support their students , and facilitate planning and lesson preparation.
