This is a particularly useful resource for consolidating tenses. I have used this successfully with GCSE groups as a starter or a revision exercise. It easily shows gaps in learning and which tenses students are struggling with. The aim is for the pupils to correctly categorise the verbs. All 35 of them. There are 5 tenses; past, present, future, immediate future and imperfect. It is an easy resource to adapt as the basketball analogy can be used too and it can be an active session whereby nets are posted at learning points around the classrooms and pupils place the verbs in the correct station.
