A 'Call My Bluff' of Jeff Buckley key terms - there are three definitions of certain key terms in Grace. Students work out which is the best fit. There are some definitions that students can discount straight away; e.g. EQ is not ET's cousin. Other key terms can be used. Useful for a starter for Grace and could be used for a review aid if the options are harder to discern the difference between.

A quiz covering the set works by Weelkes, Haydn, Stravinsky, Perkins and Beatles plus some key terms. This is not fully complete as there is an audio section (finding the videos on Youtube) as well as a visual music extract section; I planned to add in a few random bars (in sequence) of a part of each set work for students to recognize. This can be easily edited, added to etc.

A mix of Indian Music activities - the instrument pictures can be used as a puzzle, cut them up and students stick back together. Students can work out instrument by descriptor and the final document is useful to differentiate between elements of each performance such as instruments/rag used.

Useful for putting landmarks on the vocal set works (Weelkes, Handel, Stravinsky, Beatles and Carl Perkins). Examples include: Cadential 6-4s, first theme appearing, E major chord etc. students can cut these out and stick them on a magnified and/or photocopied score to highlight areas of theoretical interest. Lots more terms that can be added.

Similar to a Lord Of The Rings resource I've uploaded - a map of what happens in Moby's song; laid out in Cubase fashion (numbers on the top are the bars per box) pupils colour in/mark in which instruments are playing in which section (see second page of Word document). It is in the GCSE revision guide but is useful as a starting task on Moby. Any feedback you have would be helpful, thank you!

Students work out the style of music from the description, for example, this music originated from the Carribean - Reggae.
