There are two sheets. One sheet helps those who prefer counting with numbers, the other page counts rhythms using rhymes and words.
There are also blank spaces for students to write their own words/phrases.

This is a worksheet to accompany a listening to the piece ‘Les Toreadors’ from Carmen Suite No.1. This is by the Romantic Composer Georges Bizet.
Many students will recognise this piece from being played on the Podiums at Formula One races. So this is a great piece to bring in students prior knowledge.
This worksheet includes:
A section where students are to carry out independent learning (to find out 3 facts about the composer)
A section where students discuss whether they have heard the piece before and what emotion it evokes
A section to analyse the music, discussing tempo, dynamics……etc and to discuss features of romantic era music

These are great reference points for students to become familiar with earlier genres of music, while learning how to identify features of each era in music pieces they listen to.
This resource is great for students to stick into their music notebooks. They simply fill in every music word they learn that corresponds to each element. e.g in ‘Tempo’ students can write allegro, largo… to build their vocabulary to describe tempo and so on.
This is great as once this is in their music notebooks, they have a place to refer to while learning to describe music.
