This is a massive 14 tab excel spreadsheet. It contains:
Two tabs of blank worksheets (multiple on a page). This is particularly useful for a last minute, ready to go starter. For example, if you have these ready and printed, you can generate one of the sheets on the whiteboard, and students can copy the appropriate numbers into the blank grid in order to deduce all of the blank numbers. One tab is for 6x6 grids (quicker starter/worksheet), other tab is for 12 x 12 grids
Two tabs of 12x12 grids including repetition within the rows and / or columns. These grids are great at building students confidence, due to the repetition. One sheet is the questions, the other sheet is the answers.
Five tabs of 12x12 grids WITHOUT repetition within the rows and/or columns. This means students are tested on all the times table within one worksheet or starter activity. One tab has column and row headers, but doesn’t have any content within the grid itself. The next three tabs are in varying difficulty level: easy, medium, and hard [easy has lots of the numbers within the grid itself already filled out, whereas hard has hardly any numbers]. The last tab is the answers.
Three tabs of 6x6 grids WITHOUT repetition within the rows and/or columns. The first tab just contains a grid with NO numbers within the main grid itself. The second tab, my favourite, includes no row or column headers, therefore students have a challenging worksheet, and need to work out through logic to deduce the column and row headers. In some instances there may seem like there is more than one option for the row or column headers, so students need to deduce what is the only correct answer (like sudoku). This second tab, also involves row and column totals to incorporate the topic solving equations. The third tab is the solutions. What is great about the 6x6 grids and the 12x12 grids is that the first 6 rows and columns of the 12x12 grid, have exactly the same solutions as the 6x6 grid itself.
One tab of solutions for BOTH of the sheets. This excel spreadsheet has been formatted so that ALL of the worksheets can be deduced form the same 12x12 grid. This is great in order to differentiate effectively.
BONUS new worksheet tab. This is great because at a click of this button, or via F9 you can easily generate an infinite number of worksheets.

A whole lesson I designed for an interview lesson for an year 5 independent school. A great visual way for introducing students into the topic of multiplying fractions. This lesson specifically focuses on multiplying proper fractions with whole numbers. The most engaging part of this lesson is the gifs used during the lesson, and the opportunity for students to really master the topic through the use of pictures. Slideshow is 35 slides long and includes a kinaestetic starter, a kinaestetic group activity, several examples, main worksheet, ‘pit stops’, timers, solutions, audio bites and a plenary. If you have found this useful please leave a review.
This is a puzzle activity involving the four operations used as a starter or a plenary. I have used this with top set year 7 and bottom set year 8, because there are many different difficulty levels as seen by the video. This task acts as a puzzle as the students need to begin at the ‘start’ number and find the finish number, which requires 15 steps. The children start with a number such as ‘23’ and need to apply 15 operations to it, often involving all four operaitons, in order to obtain the finish number. Alternatively another type of worksheet contained within this resource requires children to work out the missing operations between these 16 numbers.
There are so many different types of worksheets, generally graded as an easy, medium or hard (green, orange, red) provided at the top of the screen. In addition to this the worksheets provided include negative numbers, positive numbers, large and very small numbers.

This worksheet is designed for KS3 and KS4 to understand length scale factor problems, which typically involve using a calculator. The worksheet is suitable for most types of children, but is targetted for the more able learner. Children need to use the numbers already provided for the dimensions of the photographs to work out the scale facctor of enlargement. To make this worksheet more challenge written dimensions can be removed, and children can measure the pictures themselves.
Workhseet contains 6 problems, multiple extension questions, and links to real life such as Instagram. In addition to this the worksheet has an example on how to complete the questions.
I often find teaching the topic of scale factor quite dull. As a result I have tried to make it more exciting by using images I have taken from various trips to different countries, and relating the worksheet to real life experiences of the students. Comes with DETAILED solutions.
Length scale factor requires you to work out what is the multiplicative factor you need in order to get from one length to another.
This is a worksheet generator for an infinite number of worksheets.
This is a fun, angle pile up which involves understanding the information regarding angles in quadrilaterals and triangles. It´s a worksheet generator so there is an infinite number of questions available.

This is a free sample of my function machine style resource, specifically for standard form. There is a choice of 4 worksheets (2 easy and 2 hard). Each pair of easy and hard worksheets have matching solutions. The easy worksheet just has numbers in the input grid [the red grid in the centre of the page], wheras the hared worksheet just has numbers in the output grids [the four green grids on the outskirts of the worksheet]. The worksheet is easy and intuitive to use: starting with an ‘input’ number you need to apply an operation [listed below the green grids] to deduce an output. This process is repeated for 9 different numbers, for four diferent output grids altogether, yielding 36 solutions. If you liked this resource how about buying the generator version of this?

This worksheet is designed for pi day for low ability year 8s. The idea is each number is assigned a picture, which is given in the key, and this should help students derive a story which will help them memorise the first several digits of pi.
This is a worksheet generator which involves finding the angles within a hexagon, and all the shapes within this hexagon. At a click of a button you can regeneratre new questions. This worksheet also involves algebra to calculate angles, for examples some of the angles are defined as ‘h+?’, where ‘?’ is an integer. Also included is an exterior angle extension

This resource is based upon the popular idea of a crossword. However instead of using words, numbers are used instead. Clues are given by the yellow boxes in the forms of expressions. Some of the clues involve one step, whereas others involve two steps. Could use sheet with or without calculator depending on ability of the class. What is particularly special about this resource is that by pressing the button on the new worksheet tab you can get an entirely different set of questions. Therefore, this starter is great as a settler activity over a number of lessons, as it’s general structure stays the same whilst the numbers change for each worksheet. Also, it can show progress over time, as students should get quicker and become more confident at answering these starter questions. You also get two diferentiated resources for each worksheet, as both the easier and harder worksheets provided give the same answers, whilst usefully giving different questions allowing differentiation within a class.
Ideal starter for KS3, although could be used for younger or older as differentiation available.
The general concept has been derived from a function machine. You start with 9 input numbers, which needs to go through an operation. The operation for this specific function machine is to find percentages of amounts. So you need to find 66% of 30 to the nearest integer. There are a total of four operations so there up to 36 answers students need to find. Working alongside this is a more challenging sheet, which involves the students using the ‘output’ numbers first to work out the ‘input’ numbers, and hence understanding the importance of working backwards through the operations. Most importantly, both the basic style worksheet and the challenging worksheet work in conjunction with each other, such that they both link to the same solutions, which are provided. The picture provided demonstrates the answers to one of the potential worksheets.
You click on the arrow tab for a new worksheet OR alternatively the ‘delete’ button. When you print make sure you click print ‘current sheet’
Has been used many times successfully within classrooms for year 7s, 8s, and year 9s.

• Worksheet generator with infinite questions
• 8 questions every worksheet, 2 on mode, 2 on median, 2 on range, and 2 on mean.
• Answers for every worksheet
• Ability to print different worksheets for the same class, using different tabs of the excel spreadsheet, enabling more accurate assessment.
• Saves on printing, 3 worksheets fit on one side of A4
This is a worksheet generator, generating 8 questions regarding mean, median, mode and range of 4 numbers, which are derived each time from a 4x4 grid. The numbers have been devised such that the mean is always an integer, the median may or may not be a whole number (sometimes it is a decimal), the mode may or may not exist, and the range varies between values of 10 and 0.
At a simple click of a button a brand new worksheet is generated, with new numbers in the grid, and a new order of questions. This is great way of quickly assessing students for their understanding after some time spent not revising the topic, or for revising the topic at the end of a topic. Due to this worksheet’s consistent nature it can be used to measure progress over some time.
In addition this worksheet provides an extension, which involves the students adding all 8 answers they have obtained. As a result, if they obtain a number that is correct, therefore they have been able to self-check their own answers in being correct.
Finally an answer key is given with every worksheet, which you can access by simply pressing a macro button. Furthermore, printing is simple with 3 questions fitting on a 'landscape' orientated piece of paper, with an included answer key given in small at the bottom for the teacher, meaning you don't need access to the computer to provide answers if this is not required or wanted.

This is a worksheet generator to generate 18 simultaneous equations questions for linear and quadratic equations. Simply by clicking the ‘new worksheet’ button you generate a new worksheet with differing variables, coefficients and signs. There is an infinite number of possible worksheets, all with matching solutions! This is a differentiated resource containing three levels of difficulty. Section 1 has the same signs, the same variables, a few answers being decimals and a coefficient in each equation to be matching. Section 2 has varying variables, varying signs and unmatching coefficients. Whereas section 3 involves quadratic and linear equation, which touches on the topics ‘changing the subject of the formula’, ‘substitution’, ‘expanding brackets’, ‘factorising’ and ‘solving’. All three sheets make this topic more interesting because of the use of ‘negative numbers’ as answers, as well as understanding the importance of the relationship between different signs.

One of the most popular tools I use as a plenary or a starter with an inifinite number of difficulty levels.
Is a tool in order for children to manipulate numbers, using the four operations. The children start with a beginning number, and they have to manipulate the number up to 17 times in order to get an answer. There are three levels of difficulty on this worksheet. And I have found this to be a very exciting starter or plenary activity. It can be used with all different types of age groups, because there is a level of challenge and differentiation depending on the level chosen, the time given to the children. Questions can be revealed on the screen at once or you can slowly give you operations to the students from the board.

5 documents are generators, which means at the click of any button you are able to generate a new worksheet. This provides a calm atmosphere in learning, familiarity in resources for students and can demonstrate progress over time.
3 of these documents are worksheet generators, which require students to find angles within polygons by viewing the polygons themselves. The easiest worksheet just regards triangles and straight lines. The medium worksheet involves quadrilaterals, simple algebra, and straight lines. Whereas the last worksheet involves a multitude of polygons. Each come with a supporting tab call a ‘cheat sheet’, containing an answer for every question listed on a separate bit of paper. These can be individually cut up and folded along the dotted line to act as supporting answers, You can use thesse at your discretion to support the least able, enabling these worksheets to be low access high challenge.
Furthermore, another of these documents also requires you to find missing angles and lengths within various polygons by using algebra. Helpfully there is are hints which can either be included, or not included on the sheet, as they are on the sheet’s extremities so can easily can be cut off.
Another worksheet regards angles, but this time they are entirely worded question. Testing students knowledge on exterior angles as well as interior angles this time.
Finally the last document is a powerpoint involving 5 videos of me hand drawing different circle theorems. Each of the videos are silent but supported by questioning on the screen. This has proved to be a very useful tool in maximising student engagement, and getting the students to come up with the questions and answers themselves whilst watching the video, whilst you are able to help individuals or manage behaviour as required. Each of the videos, has futher suggestion points, and each can be paused and resumed at a pace that suits your class.
