Drama Device Key Word Poster Display
Included are Drama key terminology words presented artistically on A4 posters for the classroom. There are 47 drama methods in total which can be printed on A3 or A3 for full effect.
On each poster, there is a drama method, a definition and an appropriate image, whether this is a cartoon interpretation or an image from a play, practitioner or musical that links to it.
Posters include references to practitioner processes, key words, rehearsal devices, theatrical terms, types of theatre etc.
I have used all posters in my classroom and students have been incredibly grateful for them and absorbed lots of knowledge from them.

Skellig Full SOW & Resources Year 7
A full SOW to be taught to Year 7 or 8 based on Skellig by David Almond. PowerPoint includes full resources, differentiated activities and lesson by lesson instructions for the teacher in the notes section.
Activities include writing from a character perspective, diarty entries, creative writing such as designing your own creatures and also activities based on language analysis. Scheme also includes contextual references to William Blake’s poems that the novel is losely based on. Final assessment piece is for students to write a book review.
The scheme has been used previously as a class reader.

OCR GCSE Drama Devising Mock Portfolio
A mock portfolio for Devising Drama unit in GCSE Drama.
It includes:
Knowledge organiser for different stage types
Three different stimuli to explore, based on the theme ‘Disasters’ This includes a BBC News Report on The Hillsborough Disaster, information on a key figure - Thomas Andrews - engineer of the Titanic, and also a picture to inspire students from the Aberfan Colliery Slip.
Mock portfolio pages with help / prompts / questions at the top of the page to guide pupils and their work.
Assessment grids at the back to assess their mock portfolio with REAL GCSE exam criteria.

OCR Drama GCSE Devising Mock Portfolio
Selling a mock portfolio that can be used with a group before the main devising unit.
This includes three stimuli on natural disasters and allows students to explore them, with prompts for how to successfully then create and develop their own portfolio.
It is then complete with the marking criteria at the back of the booklet, so this can be marked and feedback given.

AQA GCSE English Blood Brothers FULL SOW
A full scheme of work teaching the content and comprehension of ‘Blood Brothers’ by Willy Russell for GCSE exam board AQA. Designed to teach to a middle ability - top set Year 10 class but can easily be adapted.
The scheme includes a 222 slide PowerPoint presentation with detailed lessons on every section of the text, along with all resources, worksheets and homework sheets. There is also continuous assessments throughout the study - both reading, writing and speaking assessments and lessons working towards these.
The study focuses on understanding and enjoying the content of the text, analysing key language using the more complex paragraphs and writing in response to key parts of the text. It also has a slide dedicated to higher level extensive vocabulary to use.
It is heavily influenced with context, character studies and also analysis of key quotations. At the end of the study, I have included approaches to the exam, strategies to develop a detailed response and also included some templates for creating plans for multiple questions linked to characters and themes. I have also included a wide variety of exam questions to use with groups and reference to the mark scheme.
The SOW has been designed completely from scratch with some influence taken from other resources seen and used previously
Silent Movies Drama Scheme
Included is a Drama unit of work based on creating Silent Movies, aimed at a mixed ability Year 9 class.
The scheme focuses on:
Conventions of slapstick
Commedia Dellarte brief background
Melodrama
Stock characters
‘Train Track Terror’ script to explore in a lesson
Exercises to explore the concept of slapstick, melodrama and silent movies
Finishes with a trust obstacle course for team work
Includes review questions to ask students at the end of the unit
RAG rating assessment criteria throughout
There are video links to examples of work from Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy to use as examples.
The unit leads up to students creating their own silent movie with opportunity for them to plan and develop the narrative throughout the unit.
Some work sourced elsewhere and then added to and tweaked for my own classes.
OCR GCSE Drama Peter Pan Live Evaluation National Theatre
Selling a PowerPoint to help support students with the learning of how to write a successful evaluation for the live theatre evaluation section of the Drama GCSE for OCR.
This unit of work is based on the National Theatre performance of Peter Pan performed and filmed in 2017. This can be accessed on Drama Online.
The PowerPoint includes:
Information on the performance, characters, cast and crew
Information about key terminology and vocabulary for the exam
Structure strips to follow when writing the evaluation
Peter Pan workbook slides that can be printed to create a workbook when watching - focusing on lighting, sound, key scenes, characterisation, set.

English Literary Device Display Posters
Included are English language terms presented artistically on A4 posters for the classroom. There are 39 language methods in total and 31 structural methods (which are particularly useful for AQA GCSE Language Paper 1 Question 3).
On each poster, there is a language method, a definition, an example and an image to link to the example.
I have also included some examples of structural methods on the posters such as sentence types, anaphora, quatrains etc. On the second attachment, there are examples of structural device methods with coloured backgrounds.
Posters include references to An Inspector Calls, Jekyll and Hyde, Macbeth and other Shakespeare texts.
I have used all posters in my classroom and students have been incredibly grateful for them and absorbed lots of knowledge from them.

Prompt mats for PEE paragraphs. Can be printed and laminated and used for display to help students, or can be laminated for students to use.
One for each of the following - point, evidence, inference, word level analysis, readerf effect. Each includes a definition of what to include and sentence starters.
KS3 SPaG Workbook
A 32 page KS3 SPaG workbooklet.
It focuses on key skills such as spellings, punctuation, grammar, synonymns, vocabulary and other aspects of literacy.
This was designed and created with the intention of all KS3 students having this to upgrade and improve their literacy skills.
Pages can be completed as starters, plenaries or even set as homework.

AQA English Language Paper 1 Question 5 Descriptive Writing
A sequence of lessons focusing on Language Paper 1 Question 5, based on descriptive writing.
There is a focus on language, structure, exploring colour, a question 5 planning sheet to help guide ideas and also examples of descriptive writing. There is also reference to the mark scheme.
I have also included a bank of higher level vocabulary that can be used in the creative process to improve terminology. Part of it gives you chance to upgrade your sentence and try to vary sentence openings.
