PowerPoint introduces globalisation (free trade versus import quotas and protectionism) and asks students to think about the opportunities and threats it presents for business. PowerPoint introduces exchange rates and explains how changing money from one currency to another works (using holidays abroad as an example). Students are then shown how appreciating or depreciating exchange rates affect the cost of raw materials for businesses.
