Classification: Notes
Many of my students require written copies of the notes I write on the board. These notes focus on Domains and Kingdoms. Simply, print, hand out, and enjoy!
After seeing the popularity of our MATTER Escape Room, we have decided to release an abbreviated version. There are times where the full version of the escape rooms are too involved for the amount of time allotted. This MATTER - Mini - Escape Room allows the teacher to use a break out box as a bell ringer activity. You will also be able to see the power of an escape room in producing teachable moments within your classroom.
This is a brand new MATTER Escape Room is a totally immersive product from the STEM Center that promotes cooperative learning! We have developed a comprehensive 1 tier, MATTER themed Escape Room, Break Out Box Activity. The Escape Room centers around the fundamental vocabulary found within a unit focused on the Force & Motion. We have found a way to make learning FUN!
Students are given a 20 word puzzle that will lead to unlocking a lock box that contains their group’s set of color coded clues. THIS IS A VERSION OF THE 1st PUZZLE FOUND IN OUR FULL SYSTEM.
The escape room can be run several different ways. The cheapest and easiest method is to use a manila envelope for the puzzle.
For a more authentic escape room each group will need the following:
1 five digit Lock
One Lock Box

Ecology: These Exit Tickets are a must for any science teacher teaching about Ecology. There are so many ways I use these cards. I keep them with me throughout the unit to keep me on point. They can be copied and placed in centers as Task cards or used in many other ways. Enjoy!

Station 2- This station allows students to read an article focusing on Plants and to answer multiple-choice questions.
Station 3- Students are given the opportunity to sketch major concepts within Plants.
Station 4- The student reads a passage and then writes constructed responses.
Station 5 – Students enjoy a hands on activity.
Genetics Differentiation Stations
This is the Genetics Differentiation Stations. This product consists of six different stations for students to learn about Genetics.
How It Works
Station 1- Vocabulary matching game allows students to match key vocabulary terms with definitions.
Station 2- This station allows students to read an article focusing on Genetics and to answer multiple-choice questions.
Station 3- Students are given the opportunity to sketch major concepts within Space.
Station 4- The student reads a passage and then writes constructed responses.
Station 5- Students read provided fact cards and writes down the correct vocabulary term.
Station 6 – Students cut out the seven continents and construct a model of DNA.
Ecology Differentiation Stations
This is the Ecology Differentiation Stations product. This product consists of six different stations for students to learn about Ecology.
How It Works:
