A whole school 12 page document on actions required to change the culture of attendance across your school, which I had written as part of my work when we were in SM. The document identifies the individual responsibilities of all staff, from form tutors through to senior leaders and Administrative support, to help raise the profile of improving levels of student absence.

This is Part 1 of 3 Behaviour Support Programmes.
The BSP 1 is a module of work that can be used with students who are unable to demonstrate effective social skills and frequently allow their emotions to get the better of them, often demonstrating bouts of anger and increased emotion. The module is best suited to be delivered by a Mentor or Behaviour Coach in a 1-1 or small group environment.
It consists of between 4-6 lessons and contains all appropriate worksheets and lesson guidance.
This resource contains some useful ideas for setting up your Student Council/Parliament alongside a PSHE/Tutor lesson activity designed to support student understanding of the kind of qualities that are required of Council Members. It also contains two templates, including a meeting agenda template and a voting slip.
A Mini module for students to help them reflect upon their behaviour; it is ideally suited for 1-1 intervention work, although it has been delivered in class, as part of a life skills programme.
The module is based on training in basic behaviour management for staff that I delivered, which I turned on its head to help students reflect upon their actions, by putting them in the shoes of the teacher.

The Attendance Support Plan Template can be used as a higher level intervention, to support improvements in student attendance and to identify key attendance data that can be used with parents and the child, so that what is required for improvement, is shared by all and is represented in one clear document.
A mini-module that I wrote for Life Skills lessons in my role as Head of a PRU. It challenges the students to reflect upon using more appropriate language in and around the school site and to look at alternatives to the inappropriate words students would often use.

This resource contains extensive statements that can be used and developed as part of an effective plenary to review learning that has taken place - it also contains the ‘Plenary Place Mat’ that can be kept by students so that they can regularly reflect upon learning that has taken place in the lesson - in my provision the Plenary Place Mat was stuck to the student desk.
All staff require appropriate training - this resource is the transcript and task notes for a short training session I delivered to Lunch Time Supervisors and Play Leaders.

A module of work to support students who have been excluded from school; An ideal piece of work for delivery to those students who have received more than 1 FTE who will form a targeted group within your provision.

A 10 week programme of Study that can be delivered as part of a Geography or Life Skills Scheme of work. The module focuses on developing student knowledge about their community, towns and cities of the UK and Europe alongside enhancing their research and enquiry skills, especially when using an atlas or online mapping resource.

To raise student awareness of the key features of the British Isles with regard to major towns’ cities, rivers and relief features.

If so, you may find this real life exemplar of an Action Planning Document very useful; designed in a manner that has both clarity and coherence.
After securing a Headship in a school requiring improvement and having made numerous visits to my new school (and after reading appropriate documentation and data) I decided to write the template identified in this resource. The layout helped me to formulate key action points in a clear and coherent manner; it also proved to be a useful document for my colleagues in SLT, from which we were able to identify key points for moving forward; the document fed into the School Development Plan and SEF and helped us to focus on key priorities.
With the new RSHE guidance being implemented from this month, I believe that this resource provides an ideal starting point when focusing on positive loving relationships, the family and an introduction to Sex Education for Key Stage 4.
The KS3 resource initially focuses on the importance of friends and family and a wider look at relationships, whilst the KS4 resource also focuses on relationships, but with a closer look at boy/girl relationships, sexual responsibilty and love.

A 14 page booklet that identifies a plethora of mini games and activities that can be played by students of all ages. The games/challenges are very simple to set up and use many items that are at hand in a classroom. I have used the ideas presented in this book both as a wet weather PE resource and for use at lunch and break times, in primary, secondary and in alternative provision.

A 6 week module for KS3 or upper Primary that can be added to any PSHE/British Values Programme. It works students through the need for rules and law in society, expectations in school and in the home, how the law is made and then additional lessons on rights and responsibilities in a modern society.
This reflection tool can be used in Behaviour Management training sessions as a starter or indeed as a discussion tool to help generate appropriate discussion of ‘Managing Behaviour’ in the classroom.
How do we develop/enrich learning in our establishments to enhance student outcomes?
I delivered this powerpoint as part of a refresher for my staff, to help enrich and develop wider thought on how they can deliver effective lessons that enhance the learning experience for students.
This powerpoint is stand alone and can be delivered as part of whole school staff training - no further resources are required.
A very simple tool to enable a quick student snapshot for tracking behaviour, effort and overall progress in a range of subject across the curriculum. Can be used to collate information before parental meetings, PEP meetings, EHCP Reviews etc.
