Spanish New Year Writing Assignment / Essay - Querer + Infinitive - This item contains 2 assignments. The first is a writing prompt with 29 Spanish infinitives/holiday words, plus the months of the year. Students write about what they want to do in each month of the new year. There is a variety of suggested vocabulary which makes it easy for students to complete their writing assignments and makes this item useful for all levels of Spanish. Vocabulary includes many holidays such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, 4th of July, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, Easter and more. A 100 - 200 word essay works well for first year students. The word count can be changed for other levels and varying ability levels. The second assignment is a 279 word sample essay. The sample essay makes a great translation homework assignment or it can be used for full class viewing to prep students to write their own essays. Both activities make great substitute lessons.

Each student mingles with a bingo grid and must find different classmates that can reply yes when asked about statements in each of the 16 boxes. Each box contains 2 short statements. When a student replies yes to the questions, the questioning student follows up by asking in Spanish for the student's signature. The goal is to be the first student to fill the entire bingo grid.
