This 50 word puzzle with 8 images to identify is great to use at the end of the school year, for summer school programs, or for a back to school review. The materials work well for sub plans, as well. After students complete the puzzle, partners can quiz each other using the student vocabulary handouts.
The puzzle contains a wide variety of vocabulary for all things summer, including weather expressions, beach nouns, sports, infinitive verbs, summer clothing, and even summer insects! Sample words are: luciérnaga, sandía, nadar, traje de baño, lluvia, descalzo, hace sol, feria, gafas del sol, vacaciones, helado, and piscina.
Students are instructed to:
1. Write Spanish words under each picture.
2. Write the Spanish meaning next to each clue.
3. Complete the puzzle with Spanish words.

French Alphabet Sketch and Color Booklet - Mon Livre d'Alphabet - Students color the alphabet letters and then decide upon and draw their own illustrations for each letter of the alphabet. The booklet contains 28 pages: the title page with 26 additional pages for each letter of the alphabet and an end page. This download also includes several suggestions for using the booklets and an assembly instruction page. Suggested uses include: students share completed booklets with the class or with a partner, students read to a family member at home, students use alphabet pages as flashcards to practice and learn new vocabulary, teacher projects the blank booklet onto the Smart Board and students do quick sketches for each letter, and teacher scans sample booklets to share student work with the class.

French Carnival Booklets - Carnaval - Students will have fun learning about this holiday and French culture. Each booklet contains 8 pages: the title page with 7 additional pages containing common Carnival words. Also included are suggestions for using the booklets and an assembly instruction page.
Students first cut, assemble and read the booklet that contains text and illustrations of things associated with Carnival / Carnaval. Each of the 7 pages in the booklet includes the words il y a with a word that corresponds to the illustration on that page. Words included are ballons, costumes, masques, dances, fêtes, chenilles, and défiles. Students then create their own version using the text only template.
The illustration version can be projected in class to present, review and practice pronunciation of the Carnival words. The text only version can be projected onto the Smart Board and students can draw pictures on the Smart Board that correspond to the text.
French Christmas / Noel Game Cards and Flashcards - These cards can be used as student flashcards for vocabulary practice, slap-jack game cards, memory game cards, or go fish cards. There are 32 different cards. They can also be projected to introduce and review vocabulary, and to play the flyswatter game.

Each emergent reader booklet contains 8 pages: the title page with 7 additional pages containing common French words associated with Chinese New Year. Words included are lanterns, fireworks, gifts, dragons, envelopes, food, and rooster for Chinese New Year 2017, which is the Year of the Rooster. Suggestions for using the booklets and an assembly instruction page are also included.
Students first read and cut out the booklet that contains text and illustrations and they then sketch and create their own version using the text only template.

This poem welcomes spring after a long winter! Vocabulary, phrases, and grammatical structures include estación, querer + infinitive, contigo, ya, chaquetas, rosas, nido, rosas, río, dentro de poco, gracias por, and no hace frío. Verbs include quitarse, caminar, ver, venir, mirar, ser, and alegrarse. The rhyming words and cadence make this poem fun to learn and easy to remember.

The French Thanksgiving Food Word Wall includes 2 versions, each with 18 common Thanksgiving food words with corresponding clip art images. One version has all black words, and the other alternates black and red. Each version has on 5 pages, plus a header page that says Le Jour de L'Action de Grâce. Vocabulary words included are turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, peas, green beans, corn, apple pie, pumpkin pie, milk, salad, dessert, rolls, vegetables, gravy, butter, bread, and cranberries.

It includes notes about stem changes, irregulars, when to use indirect object pronouns, etc. Also included are examples of regular and stem change verb conjugations in the present and preterit. Finally, there's a basic explanation about the difference between ser and estar and a rhyme to help remember their uses. Students will use this reference frequently for as long as they study Spanish!

French Christmas Gingerbread Man and Body Parts - Noel - Students label the Gingerbread Man with 10 body parts. There are 3 versions of the activity:

2. Word bank in English. Students write the French word next to the English, then label the Gingerbread Man.
3. Word bank in French. Students write the English word next to the French, then label the Gingerbread Man.
This is a great holiday activity for bilingual, dual language, or French classrooms.
