Human Senses Notes Powerpoint Presentations Package: This product contains 4 power point presentations that are part of my Special Senses Unit. The first presentation contains 10 power point slides which cover eye anatomy. The second presentation is a 16 slide ppt covering eye physiology and eye disorders. Amphibian Research Report for Elementary Grades We have developed this report template and additional worksheets, organizers, tools and forms to use for your students to create, develop, write, edit, illustrate, present, and assess your students’ Amphibian research report. This report (or performance task) is also designed to not only to learn and explain the new information, but answer some higher level thinking questions (Common Core Essential Questions) to apply the knowledge they have learned. This report package is designed to have your students research, write about, and illustrate amphibians to complete this report. A simple rubric and student checklist is included. You can also add to this report by asking your students to do a model or large poster on amphibians as well. You can use this report template in its entirety, or “pick and choose” the questions that you wish to use and tailor it to your students’ needs. Circulatory System Research Report for Fourth and Fifth Grades We have developed this report template and additional worksheets, organizers, tools and forms to use for your students to create, develop, write, edit, illustrate, present, and assess your students’ research report. In the Common Core Standards for English Language Arts on page 33, students are expected to build knowledge systematically by using nonfiction text in the areas of history/ social studies and science in a variety of areas. One of these areas in grades 4 and 5 is to read informational/ expository text within the subject matter of the Circulatory System;" This report is also designed to not only learn and explain the new information, but answer some “Essential Questions” (higher level thinking questions) to further assess the students’ grasp of the information. This is also a component of the common core teaching strategies. This packet supports this standard and extends it into the areas of writing, listening and speaking.
