So the idea behind this activity is that there’s very little difference between each different worksheet but a large difference between polar opposites. Pupils answer the first 5 questions. If they get them all correct first time they move up a step, otherwise they answer the rest of the questions on that level. The levels are: Red - Solving one-step using balances and bar models Orange - Solving one-step represented algebraically (positive and negative integers) Yellow - Solving one-step represented algebraically including fractions, decimals and worded questions Green - Solving two-step using balances and bar models with a few represented algebraically Blue - Solving two-step represented algebraically (positive and negative integers) Purple - Solving two-step represented algebraically including fractions and decimals White - Solving two-step worded questions

If you haven’t heard your students talking about Fortnite then where have you been? 45 million people play the shooter game Fortnite and I can’t stop the kids I teach from talking about it. This activity incorporates lots of different concepts: Ratios/Scales Bearings Speed, distance, time Pythagoras Area problem solving Edit and remove questions as you want. If you print at 100% the scale will be 1.5cm to 250m Otherwise you might have to give it a measure if you print to fit Also: The locations from the bearings are locations required for one of the challenges this season to get them even more engaged. Half my class have taken the work home to finish so they can gain in game rewards EDIT: This is a little out of date now as the map is updated every week but I’m sure students will appreciate the thought all the same

For University we have to write a weekly reflection and write the TS strand next to it to show evidence and aid in report writing. Obviously most of this is individual to my course, but you can easily alter the university and holiday weeks. My main aim was just to save people time typing the whole thing out like I did. The cover image is a preview of what mine looks like. You can cut and paste a tick into each section ✔

This engaging class wide activity involves reading coordinates in one quadrant and being able to name very simple straight line graphs e.g. x=2 y=1. Increasing to four quadrants and any variation of graphs. The images are moveable and on the notebook file are on an infinite cloner so move and add at leisure.

This logic puzzle involved reading coordinated in one quadrant and being able to name very simple straight line graphs e.g. x=2 y=1. Possible extensions could include, what’s the fewest number of fences you could do it in. House g wants a bigger plot etc. I used this with my bottom set year 10 though is suitable for a variety of ages. UPDATED 4 quadrant addition
