Ready-Made AQA GCSE German Lessons (Higher Tier)
This is part of a set of ready-made lessons tailored specifically to the AQA GCSE German Higher Tier specification with first teaching from 2024. These lessons cover all the essential grammar and vocabulary outlined by AQA.
These lessons are designed to accompany and support the AQA GCSE German Higher Tier textbook, which is published by Oxford University Press (OUP) and approved by AQA. While the lessons follow the AQA and OUP two-year scheme of work and are aligned with the sequence of grammar points and vocabulary in the textbook, all tasks, activities, and content within the lessons are entirely original and independently created.
Each lesson is designed to be both engaging and effective, with activities that not only support learning but also make it fun (I hope!). The lessons are structured to improve exam technique, with a focus on building skills through practice.
Lesson Structure
Every lesson begins with a retrieval activity to reinforce prior learning.
New grammar and vocabulary are introduced in an accessible way.
A variety of interactive tasks are included to ensure student engagement.
Activities also practice key skills needed for AQA GCSE success, such as reading aloud, dictation, role play, describing a photo, and writing tasks.
Each lesson concludes with a plenary to consolidate learning.
Worksheets accompany every lesson
