This is the SEVENTH lesson on the constitution in the A Level scheme of work US government and politics, and continues the study of the key features of the US constitution with a focus on bipartisanship AND FEDERALISM. It also introduces students to a 30 mark essay for the first time. The power point aims at recapping on previous knowledge and introducing an understanding of the importance of bipartisanship for effective government. The lesson contains discussion and two detailed tasks. It is planned as a one hour lesson, but will probably take 2 hours to complete all of the activities and readings including the essay.
