This is a fantastic resource if you are teaching phase 3 phonics.
I have made the presentations for each sound. The way to teach it is:
Introduce the new sound.
2- Name the pictures, teach the children by saying - I say, you say e.g. apple, then the children repeat the word apple.
Repeat words e.g. apple, ant etc emphasizing the initials sounds with the picture cards e.g. a a a apple, a a a ant.
4.Then ask the children - At the beginning of (ant) I heard a …
Again- Bounce initial sounds with pictures ‘a a a apple etc…’
6.Ask chd-What phoneme do you hear at the beginning of …
Once you have done the sounds SATPIN - then on the smart notebook files - there will be some words that you can add at latter part of the phonics session e.g. sat, tin etc, for children to write. The more able can write a sentence.
Please Note - You must have smart notebook software to use this.
