Stonyhurst is the UK’s leading co-educational Catholic boarding and day school for 3 – 18-year-olds. 

Founded in 1593, it is the oldest continuously active Jesuit school in the world. Pupils come from throughout the United Kingdom as well as from abroad. Stonyhurst was made fully co-educational in 1999. It has a long history of nurturing men and women of individuality, generosity, and service. Stonyhurst is based in a magnificent Grade I listed building within a secluded 1,000-acre estate, a rural setting in the beautiful Ribble Valley in the Northwest of England. Stonyhurst is home to one of the oldest museums in the English-speaking world and is steeped in centuries of Catholic history. Today the school offers a distinctive environment where pupils can gain an appreciation of culture and heritage.
