About the role
As the School Finance Assistant position you will be a pivotal role that supports the Operations Manager by ensuring the efficient management of daily financial operations within the school. This role includes a variety of responsibilities, including aiding the school leadership and the Pod Finance Manager in adhering to and executing financial policies and procedures related to procurement, payroll, and Cognita Connect, among other financial systems. The ideal candidate will possess robust IT, administrative, and organisational skills, contributing to the overall finance function of the school and the broader business. This position not only plays a critical part in the current financial operations but also offers a unique opportunity for professional growth, potentially leading to advanced roles in Operations Management or within the finance sector.

Who we are looking for:
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to relate well with people on all levels
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Applications e.g. Word, Excel
• Experience in NetSuite/Weduc are desirable but not essential
• Finance/Accountancy qualifications are desirable
• previous experience working within an administrative function
• Ability to prioritise workload and remain calm under pressure
