Head of Art

Due to forthcoming retirements, we are searching for a passionate, inspirational and highly skilled Head of Art, who has the ability to lead the team in order to help pupils to develop the skills which will allow them to excel and to reach their full potential. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teacher to lead our highly successful Art Department. Possessing a specialism in 3D design and the ability to deliver ceramics and 3D design to pupils at all levels is essential, as is a strong commitment to both the co-curricular and pastoral life of the school. Additionally, the role will involve the coordination of textiles, fine art and photography within the department.

Newcastle-under-Lyme School is the region’s leading independent school, and attracts pupils aged 3-18, from a large area of North Staffordshire, South Cheshire and North Shropshire. The school sits on an attractive 30 acre site in close proximity to Newcastle-under-Lyme Town Centre. With Manchester and Birmingham less than an hour away and excellent rail and road links to London and the South East and almost all areas of the UK, it sits in an enviable position within the country.
