Job overview

Due to the promotion of the current incumbent of post Wellacre have a vacancy for a Finance Officer. This role is to carry out the operational functions of the finances for the Academy Trust with the support of a Finance Assistant and under the strategic guidance of the Business and Finance Director. The role includes purchase ledger, sales ledger and monthly reconciliation processes. Being in a school context, the role is varied and will require the ability to be flexible at the same time as having meticulous attention to detail.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience or qualifications in a similar role or will demonstrate the necessary skills set through the interview process if not experienced.

Wellacre Academy has a well- established, professional Finance & Business Management service. We have been providing services to other schools and Academies since 2012. The service is delivered by experienced and fully qualified staff and the successful candidate will form part of this team giving opportunities for development and peer support.
