Teacher of Mathematics - St Oscar Romero Catholic School and Sixth Form

The Governors are looking to appoint a hard-working, inspiring and talented Maths teacher to join our existing team and help take St Oscar Romero Catholic School into the next chapter of its exciting journey. Our school has been on a rapid journey of improvement, something that was recognised in July 2019 when our school was judged outstanding in all categories in its Diocesan Section 48 inspection. Last year, 84% of students achieved at least a Grade 4 in both English and Maths. Our challenge this year is to improve even further on that. 

In September 2024, the school opened a Sixth Form offering a traditional academic curriculum with some vocational qualifications. 

The Maths department is a creative and energetic team, who are always looking for new ways to deliver the curriculum that excite, stretch and provoke curiosity in our students. Their excellent results are evidence of their deep commitment to our students. We are seeking to recruit a new member of the Maths team who will bring spark, energy and empathy to the department as our school continues on its quest to be the best in the country.

The school’s next inspection will be a graded inspection’
