The British Educational Communications and Technology Agency (Becta) and the Department for Education and Skills have developed a Telecommunications Intelligence Unit to give schools information about broadband Internet access, communications and networking. Its website at http:getconnected.ngfl.gov.uk includes a comparison of Internet Service Providers and their services for the education sector, information about licensing and regulation, case studies and information sheets. Becta has also created two other websites: Building the Grid at http:buildingthegrid.becta.org.uk aims to help local education authorities and schools meet the objectives of the National Grid for Learning, while the ICT technical support site at http:technicalsupport.ngfl.gov.uk guides schools on managing and organising their technical support to get the maximum benefit from their equipment. Becta has two stands at BETT at C30 and X40.
