If at long last Ofsted is prepared to publish the backgrounds of all its inspectors (“Ofsted to lay bare inspectors’ credentials”, 12 October), shouldn’t TES also publish similar information about its journalists and editorial staff? That might go some way to explaining Gerard Kelly’s highly contentious assertion in last week’s editorial that “most independents are bloody good schools”.Which blue “old school tie” is he wearing in his caricature, I wonder?
