This elegant and simplified script is easy on the eye and flows to the right, showing someone who communicates well, but doesn’t invite intimacy. The wide spacing and small letter size show that Ms Miskelly likes to avoid being drawn into things. This doesn’t imply a lack of friendliness, just a need for personal freedom.

She prefers to avoid confrontation, but does not like to let people get away with things. Her writing shows a thinking, rather than emotional, personality. Her mind is perceptive and quick to form plans. She stands back from things, and looks for the bigger picture rather than jumping to conclusions.

The signature is clear and upfront, but it shows independence and a strong link to the past and family.

The left margin is firm and the baselines good, though the slight sag in the middle of some lines indicates that she can sometimes take on something only to wonder what she has got herself into.

But she won’t let people down once she has made a commitment. Anyone who is admitted past her barrier of independence has been paid a massive compliment.

Christine Miskell teaches A-level psychology at Hitchin girls’ school, Herts It’s very interesting. Parts of it were right and other bits I wasn’t so sure about. But then I showed it to my husband and a close friend and they both said “yes, that’s you”.

It talks about me being a thinking rather than an emotional person but I have a strong emotional side. The part about having a strong link to the past and family is true - perhaps in the sense that my roots are important to me although many people would say the same thing.

I love starting something, but finishing it can be more difficult. The bit about being separate emotionally makes me sound rather cold and I don’t think I’m like that. I get on well with people, and I am friendly and chatty. But I have a handful of really close friends so maybe I am picky in that sense.
