Ofsted is contradicting itself on SEN teaching

Ofsted castigates special needs provision, yet in its latest annual report claimed that children with learning difficulties or disabilities make good or outstanding progress in 74 per cent of schools, satisfactory progress in 24 per cent and unsatisfactory in only 2 per cent. A far from unsatisfactory situation, if valid.

How can Ofsted reconcile these findings? It can’t unless it admits that large numbers of its inspectors have misdiagnosed pupils with special education needs on their inspections ...
