The next generation of women inventors are invited to “design something that you think will be invented in the future” in a competition organised by the Professional Family Women’s Network as an offshoot of the British Female Inventor of the Year Award. Imagination is more important than scientific knowledge, they say. The competition supports creative and lateral thinking as well as national curriculum science and design and technology. It is in two categories: 12 and under and 13 to 18 and the closing date is November 20. See www.bfiy.com or contact The Making Place on 020 8964 2684.
