An exhibition of photographic images by primary school children from across the country is a novel attraction in itself but The Amazing Me and Other Stories at the Photographers’ Gallery, Great Newport Street, London WC2, is certain to transcend almost everyone’s expectations.

Vividly demonstrating the advantages of close collaboration between schools, galleries, artist and photographers, the work on show embraces up-to-date technology in the production of different kinds of images.

A teachers’ evening on March 21 will discuss the role of photography in the national curriculum and a one-day conference on March 30 will explore visual literacy in the primary classroom. For teachers and primary school children eager to engage in the widening possibilities of photography for themselves, there are practical workshops to satisfy their needs. The exhibition continues until May 6. For further information, ring 071 831 1772.
