A REMINDER that the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 extends its powers to education from this September. Schools and local education authorities must by law plan to increase the accessibility of schools to disabled pupils. The DFES has issued guidance, Accessible Schools, to help teachers and officials understand their new legal responsibilities.
