This is a unit of work for Entry 3 on read, write, compare numbers, including applying knowledge and understanding of number. This work focuses on understanding of comparing numbers, using problem solving skills to arrive at an answer and solving word problems related to number. The unit of work covers 2-3 lessons and includes a power point for whole class teaching and three tasks. There is planning included and although it has objectives Entry 1, 2, 3, this unit focuses on Entry 3 and is highlighted in yellow. This is a unit of work that is aimed at Entry Level 3 Functional Maths. It covers understanding what a budget is, how to work to a budget and adding and taking away money using decimals and place value - the focus is on meal planning and preparation. This is primary aimed at students working toward Level 1 functional skills maths in either a SEN or mainstream setting. Included: Teaching power point, worksheets for each stage of learning and includes differentiation. This also include a practical task - meal preparation. This resource would cover a unit of work over the course of a week (approximately 4 x 1 hour lessons).
