<p>This is an entire unit of work focusing on using Power Point which my students have absolutely loved. The unit challenges students to use power point to create a poster for an imaginary pop concert they are to host - with a large proportion of teaching focusing on exploration learning rather than teacher led learning.<br /> The next project asks students to create a synopsis of skills learnt thus far in the academic year, introducing animations, transitions etc.</p> <p>There are opportunities for differentiated challenge, peer/self/teacher assessment and several points of Oracy.</p> <p>Lessons include well presented, engaging slides with relevant examples and opportunities for creativity.</p> <p>Please note IPA = Ignite/Propel/Accelerate</p>

<p>This is an entire unit of work focusing on using Excel which my students have absolutely loved. The unit focuses on using Excel to plan and budget for an imaginary pop concert. Students collect data and input to spreadsheets in order to work out takings from mock concert over three nights. <p>This is an entire unit of work which can be used in a variety of subject areas. This would be a great, long term cover project and has links to humanities as well as the obvious ties to IT. <p>This is an incredibly comprehensive resource covering many aspects of digital design for beginners (I used this with Year 8). It covers everything form using powerpoint and photoshop to edit images including double exposure, to building a website landing page and incorporating appropriate self design buttons. <p>This is a booklet we used as part of ‘wellbeing week’ at School. There are several activities including; mindful colouring, gratitude journalling and a week of challenges (digital detox, exercise, connecting with nature etc). It was a real hit at School and staff even got involved too. I created this on Canva but am happy to adapt wording of the ‘commendation’ page to suit your school if you contact me.</p>

<p>This bundle includes lessons planned to cover an entire year of lessons for Y7 &amp; Y8 and is very comprehensive.</p> <p>A collection of various KS3 IT units of work including the required components delivered in a creative and relevant way (Microsoft Office, intro to digital design, eSafety etc). All topics are embedded into larger projects which require new skills to be applied (eg, planning a concert; writing newspaper articles, budgeting, creating advertising material, analysing data from ticket sales etc).</p> <p>All these lessons and resources have been very popular with my classes and include several opportunities for peer/self/teacher assessment, oracy and differentiated challenge.</p> <p>Note IPA = Ignite/Propel/Accelerate (in relation to differentiated tasks).</p>
