This is a crossword testing pupils' knowledge of the different types of triangle (e.g. isoceles, scalene, etc.) and the different types of angle (acute, obtuse, etc.). Primarily this might be used for KS3 but could be used at KS2 or KS4 (as revision)

key words: directed numbers. These are 4 magic squares that can be used to practise adding positive and negative numbers. The final square includes positive and negative decimals for use with the more able students. This is primarily aimed at KS3 but could be useful for KS2 or even KS4 revision

This is a nice little game that students play in pairs. It's best to print out or copy the number grids onto A3 paper. Students get one of these grids between each pair. You then go through the powerpoint questions giving students about 20 seconds to answer each question. The first student to slap the correct answer wins a point (they can tally their own scores). Students are only allowed 1 slap per question so they must think first. Enjoy!

Compound interest PowerPoint. This activity allows students to calculate the estimated debt of a number of the world's poorest countries using compound interest calculations. I started the lesson with the maths4real video clip on compound interest and world debt and then split the class into teams of 2 or 3. Each team represented a country and received a flag, info and a sheet describing the activity. This worked really well for my class and is a nice way of incorporating SMSC into maths.

This is a worksheet with answers (on the powerpoint) for students to test their knowledge factors, primes, multiples, etc. and pop music (old and new). This is great as a starter activity, but can also be used as a plenary or a fun quiz in form time.

There are 2 dominoes sets here. 1 is quite easy and most suitable for lower GCSE sets or KS3 classes. The harder dominoes set is more suitable for GCSE grade B/A, but could be used at A-level as revision of algebraic manipulations.
