<p>This is a resource that I used with a Y1 class when developing and applying their understanding of nouns and adjectives within sentences.</p> <p>This resource is differentiated for LA, MA and HA. The first worksheet is for the LA where they can read, identify and colour code the nouns and adjectives, thsi is followed up with an activity of filling in the blanks with words provided. The second worksheet is for the MA with the same activities as the LA but filling in the blanks with their own words. The third worksheet is for the HA where they not only read, identify and colour code nouns and adjecives but create their own for a partner to colour code. This is followed with a activity to use a noun and an adjective to create their own simple sentences.</p>

<p>This is a resource I have created and used with a Y1 class as part of a pirate theme maths lesson. It allows they children to develop and apply their skills and understanding of position, direction and movement of an object. The children have to read the direction sentences and draw the correct object according to the position of another object. This is followed by another activity where they have to identify a position using directional sentences.</p>

<p>This is a resource I created as a SPAG filler activity. The children can develop an understanding for words with the suffixes -y, -ly and -ty by reading the word, identifying what suffix they have and either cutting and sticking in the correct box or copy writing the words.</p>

<p>This worksheet contains a mild, hot and spicy activity to develop verb skills within sentences. In the mild activity the children will have to read the sentence and identify the correct tense of a verb to complete the sentence. The hot activity develops this skill by reading a sentence, knowing which word needs to be changed and writing the sentence out correctly. The spicy activity allows children to create their own sentences using different tenses of the verb provided.</p>

<p>This resource was created to use with a Y1 class when looking at imperative verbs. It has been differentiated with a traffic light system. Green and Amber allow the children to read the sentences, identify the imperative verbs and copy write them into the piggy bank to create a bank of verbs for use in a later activity. Red allows the children to use imperative verbs and write them in a sentence as well as adding their own.</p>

<p>This is a resource I made as a SPAG filler activity. It allows the children to begin to develop an understanding of when they add the suffix -ly to root words where no change is required to the root word.</p>

<p>There are two publisher worksheets that I have created and used to help develop adjective and simple sentence skills when using the storybook Imaginary Fred by Eoin Colfer and Oliver Jeffers.</p> <p>The first worksheet consists of two images. The children can write/record adjectives around the images.</p> <p>The second worksheet consists of a template for an advert for a new friend.</p>

<p>This is a resource I created to help Y1 children develop and apply their counting and halving skills when using money. Following our pirate theme there are coins inside treasure chests. There are three differentiated worksheets with treasure chests and coins with varying types of coins used and amounts created. On one worksheet the children have to first work out how much is in the chest then use the coins to find half of the amount (using the concept of sharing the coins into two groups). On other worksheets the children have larger amounts and coins that cannot be shared into groups so they have to use alternative representations or equivalents to share into two groups to find half of the amount.</p>

<p>This is a resource that I created for a Y1 class when counting and adding money. There are coins (1-20p) in jars for the children to add two and three amounts together. There are coins (1-20p) in purses for the children to add together. There is also a copy of the coins and purses to print and allow the children to have a go creating and adding amounts of their own.</p>
