A complete scheme of work for a half term on The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes for KS2. The scheme explores the poem in depth with different genres of writing and builds up to the students writing The Highwayman in full prose and illustrating the story. I used with Year 5 at the end of the year. Could easily be used all across KS2.

This project has lessons over the course of a term for a project on history of medicine. It uses interactive resources to explain the main eras of medicine and builds to the students creating their own final performances where they choose their own area to focus on and develop a short comical skit to explain it. All resources included in powerpoint or separately.

This project is to help students work on their listening skills. It has daily activities/games to improve listening and resources to help children assess what makes a good listener and to self-assess their own listening skills. It also has topics for discussion about listening.

This unit of work teaches students about WW1 by following along the text Private Peaceful by Michael Morpurgo. Half term 1 looks at the text in depth and studies it alongside learning about WW1. Half term 2 looks at poetry techniques and culminates in the children writing their own WW1 poems to be performed or videoed. All resources and powerpoints included.
