This is specifically for the Christianity beliefs, practices and ethical issues paper. It replaces my previous game for the old spec B.<br /> <br /> The game follows the format of Trivial Pursuit. The game board needs to be expanded to A3. The Question cards will need to be printed back to back, and cut out, I use different coloured card for each topic. Student instructions included. All you need to provide are dice and some simple playing pieces.<br /> <br /> This game is an ideal way for the students to revise for the shorter knowledge based questions and to learn christian quotes to use in the longer 5 and 12 mark questions. <br /> <br /> You can adapt any of the cards to suit your curriculum.

This scheme of work is 5 lessons long it uses the film "Dead Man Walking" to investigate the Christian views on the death penalty. There are various tasks where the Bible and Christian teachings are looked at. It focuses the students on what they think of the death penalty. Includes an assessment mark and feedback RAG sheet.<br /> <br /> The first lesson uses the short film of Sister Helen Prejean from Amnesty International. If you don't have it, then it is available on line.<br /> <br /> You will need a copy of the Dead man walking DVD, all timings are included to explain where to pause the film. There is a teacher's guide to help with what you should be focusing on during the lessons.

<p>Game of 36 cards of the characters in the life of Jesus found in the Bible. You will need to print out all of them and cut up into a pack, 4 - 5 students max per group works best. Aimed at KS3 or GCSE revision.</p> <p>How to play; Deal the cards out for an even number each. When it is their turn, they have to read out the synopsis of their character, then they have to use the topics on the card, deciding which category they will choose read out their number, everyone else does the same, the person with the highest number in that category wins and collects all the cards. Then the winner of the round does the same, until the winner keeps all the cards.</p> <p>As a bonus there is the “who am I?” sheet. Everyone takes one of the cards without revealing it, and the others have to guess who they have, only asking yes/no questions, like “is your character a Roman?” then either cross off or place paper over the wrong answers. Winner guesses the character correctly. This game should be played after the Jesus Category game as a plenary to the characters from Jesus’ life.</p>

<p>This is a game or experiment to show how wealth is accumulated into the hands of capitalists according to Marx.</p> <p>It is based on a scene from “The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists” book.</p> <p>The students have to create sandwiches using only the tools and materials supplied (Means of Production), they get paid in pennies. They have to buy back the food using their pennies and the surplus is kept by the capitalist (alienation). At the end the they have nothing (pauperisation) and the capitalist has a pile of sandwiches they have not had anything to do with creating (exploitation).</p> <p>Included;<br /> Instructions for the teacher including a list of items required.<br /> Sheets for the students with tasks to complete.<br /> Scene from the Ragged Trousered Philanthropists book as background for the teacher.</p>
