This EXCEL spreadsheet features a large and easy-to-see fully interactive display (zoom-able to fit your screen), showing: object; lens (both convex and concave); up to 2 construction rays and the image (both real and virtual); changeable input values; calculated output values and full qualitative description of image displayed. Note 1: this version is a reduced version of the full version and has many of the other useful features disabled (see document 'full version features') Note 2: Ensure you have 'macros' enabled on your computer.

Ideal for the practical skills sections of the new A-level specifications or engineering courses. Each simulator boasts a full screen interactive realistic display, allowing both user input or randomly generated values/settings. Values, units and displays can also be hidden/revealed - ideal for quick testing of students' ability to read the instrument accurately. All displays can also be quickly exported as JPEG images allowing resources such as worksheets to be easily produced (example included). N.B These spreadsheets require EXCEL to be macros-enabled.
