<p>Originally led as a Walking talking mock to the whole of year 11 in the hall as a model for how to answer the Literature question on A Christmas Carol but could be used as a normal lesson. Contains 12 slides including context, purgatory, marleys ghost and sin.<br /> Provides students with examples of A01 points and context to include in an essay on redemption in ACC culiminating in them answering a GCSE question. ]<br /> Also includes a blank and completed planning sheet - this could be used as a homework or flipped learning task or completed in the lesson.<br /> The work my class produced after this was a considerably better, more relevant and structured essay and they are using a similar structure in planning future essays independently.</p>

<p>This scheme consists of 7 ppts for studying Romeo and Juliet<br /> It is aimed at students who have read the text already and so understand the plot and characters - although you could read and use the tasks where they are relevant. It is useful if you have taught the play lower in school or asked students to read it before beginning the unit.<br /> Each of the ppts has at least 3 tasks/thinking points (Bronze.silver. gold) - you could do them all with the class (taking 3 or more lessons), choose the one for your classes ability, or differentiate with individual groups/students in a mixed class.<br /> The unit was planned for AQA but could be used for anyone studying Romeo and Juliet - it includes context, critical perspectives, thinking hard, extract analysis etc<br /> Lesson 2 (Duality) is available as a free lesson if you want to try it first.</p> <p>Just added an assessment - some formatting may be out of place as completed on an apple mac- just drag the boxes over!</p>
