<p>A very useful lesson resource for your students studying break-even as part of the finance topics for GCSE and A Level Business, covering all specifications. The worksheets and activities will really help students to develop and apply their understanding about what break-even is, how it is calculated and its uses to a business.</p>
<p>Learning Objectives</p>

<p>This 30-mark assessment test is source-based and follows the same format as the Edexcel International IGCSE exams. It covers Unit 3 of the IGCSE syllabus entitled Business Finance. The test includes a 6-mark Analyse questions as well as a 9-mark Justify question. The topics covered are also standard for the majority of GCSE Business qualifications.</p>
<p>A full mark-scheme is included which suggests potential answers and can be useful to show students once they have attempted to answer the exam themselves. It also included suggested grades based on the 9-1 grading system and which is in line with similar exams in previous years.</p>
<p>This set of resources also comes complete with general guidelines for responding to all 9-mark questions, together with a skeleton answer cribsheet, taking students through each paragraph and can be useful if students wish to re-write their responses to this more complicated question, adhering to the guidance offered.</p>

<p>A team or individual game board activity requiring students to stretch their subject knowledge ahead of the GCSE, A level or BTEC Business L2/3 Personal and Business Finance exams.</p>

<p>A new series of resources aimed at assisting teachers with the delivery of the Edexcel A Level Business specification. This resource specifically looks at topic 2.1.1. Internal Finance. This PowerPoint presentation looks at the issue of internal finance and how a business can make use of owner’s capital, retained profits and the sale of assets to fund a business. Each source of finance is examined and benefits and drawbacks are considered. The slides contain several activities with suggested answers including the Quick Fire Five and a 10 mark practice question. The clear and well-presented nature of the slides are aimed at helping students to understand the topics with each topic analysed to provide a balanced assessment of the theory.</p>
